Our mission is to provide a clean, safe
Waltham taxi and a knowledgeable

A word about gas and tolls:

Mass Turnpike Authority and
Massport are responsible for
about 20% of the prices on the
right.  Total round trip tolls from
Waltham 128, wellesley, weston,
needham etc...are a whopping
$10.25!!!  We are as concerned
about this as you are, but the state
has given us no option- we keep
our rates as low as current toll and
gas prices allow.

Current fuel prices are not stable,
and account for approximately 23%
of our expenses.  Checker
management has only raised flat
rates three times in six years of
service due to gas prices.  Meter
rates in Waltham have remained
stable since 2001!


Meter Rates:  $2.50 per mile,
$24.00 per hour waiting/idle time
as set by City of Waltham.  Meter is
used for all taxi jobs originating in
Waltham, and ending in Waltham.

Flat Rates: Based on approx. $3.00
per mile  for Metrowest
communities with no stopped
traffic charges-most Waltham and
westward flat rates are at or lower
than they would run on the meter!

Surcharges:  Any city or town we
are not licenced in can be
serviced locally...however, a
$15.00 service charge above
meter will be assessed based on
extra mileage to get our taxis to
and from that town empty.



Wellesley, Needham, and Weston
all serviced promptly!  All
Metrowest communities will be
serviced to or from Logan with
enough notice.
